You’ll see the white-capped range of the Himalayas bathed in soft red and pink light, and on clear days will even get a peek at the legendary summit of Mt. Everest. After enjoying the hilltop panoramas of the surrounding valleys, you’ll set off on a gentle trek through terraced fields and lush forests. While Kathmandu is known for its world-renowned historical landmarks, the surrounding countryside is home to equally impressive natural landmarks. You’ll cross under-the-radar villages and gently sloping hills as you make your way to Chagunarayan Temple, one of the oldest examples of pagoda architecture in the region. Enjoy the intricate wood and stone carvings and admire the Vishnu altar inside, dedicated to the Hindu god of preservation.
