Nagarkot is a scenic hilltop village at a height of 2195 meters. It is known for its glorious sunset views of the mountains, as the last sun rays strike Everest and its neighboring peaks creating an orange-red glow amidst the white snow-capped mountains.

The Bhaktapur area is also known for the best possible views of all the Himalayan ranges. The name Bhaktapur means the “City of Devotees”. It is

an ancient city with palace courtyards in a pagoda and shikhara-style, the reason why it is a listed UNESCO World Heritage site. The medieval buildings and shrines are known for its intricate carvings of wood, stone, and metal.
