Summary

Set out from Bangalore city at 7am. First, visit the Ramanagara silk cocoon market and stop for some traditional South Indian/Karnataka coffee and a snack (at own expense). Drive through toy town Channapatna, where traditional Indian toys are made, and through Mandya, where sugarcane fields feed the sugar industry. After, enjoy lunch by the River side near Srirangapattana (At your own expense) Tour the historic town of Shrirangapattana,  outside Mysore. The entire town is enclosed by the river Kaveri to form an island. Visit the revered Sri Ranganthaswamy temple built in the ninth century and Tippu Sultans Summer Palace.  Visit the Mysore Palace, historical palace and a royal residence at Mysore in the southern Karnataka state of India. It is the official residence of the Wadiyar dynasty and the seat of the Kingdom of Mysore. Wind the trip by visiting the Chamundi Hills, The patron Godess of Mysore Maharajahs.  Other attractions that may be included in Mysore if time allows, including a visit the Mysore flower and bangle market.
