Summary

Your English speaking driver will come to pick you up at your hotel lobby or airport (PEK) during your stay in Beijing at any time between 6:30am to 1:00pm (please make your special request upon booking). It takes about 1.5 hours driving to get to Mutianyu Great Wall (return trip is about 2 hours driving time), and then your driver guide will lead you to the entrance. You may choose walking/hiking or take cable car to reach the top of the Great Wall.after visiting can take cable car or toboggan ride down.(the tickets at your own cost). During the tour, if you wish to have a lunch, your driver guide will recommend you some nice Chinese restaurant for some tasty local food, like dumplings, Kung Pao Chicken and etc.. (at your own cost). Once your tour is finished, your driver will take you back to your hotel or drop you somewhere in downtown area if you want to visit, such as Tiananmen square, Forbidden city, Temple of heaven, Silk market, or Pearl market and etc..

It takes about 1.5 hours to Mutianyu Great Wall, you can spend about 2-4 hours on the Great Wall, Mutianyu Great Wall has much more watchtowers than normal Great Wall. Altogether, you will find 23 watchtowers on this 1.4 mile stretch of Wall. Fortifications were as well constructed over the both sides of the Great Wall. It also has inner and out barriers that are crenelated with merlons. This was so shots could be fired at attackers on both sides - an extremely unique and fascinating characteristic of the Great Wall, which presents the strategic military value. If you need to get to the highest point, cable car is a good choice .
