Mt Vesuvius E-Bike Tour

This tour is dedicated to nature and adventure lovers and will make you discover the particular charm of the sleeping giant: Mt Vesuvius.

We will reach the valley at the foot of Vesuvius by van: the bike tour will start from there.

We will cycle along the road that climbs up to the crater immersed in the characteristic and luxuriant vegetation of Vesuvius in an atmosphere of unparalleled charm and enjoying a breathtaking view of the valley below. As we get closer to the top the vegetation will become more and more barren until it completely vanishes. It will seem to be in a fantasy novel.

Reached the top, we will leave the bicycles and continue on foot to the crater, walking along the edge. They will tell us about the geology of Vesuvius, the flora of the National Park and they will tell us the history of Vesuvius and the role it still has in the life of the population living on its slopes.

At the end of the visit we will descend to the valley and return to the starting point of the van tour.

The tour includes pick-up from Sorrento or from a location requested by the customer. We will then reach the Mt Vesuvius valley (transfer by van), the bike tour will start from there.

We will cycle along the paths of the National Park, we will pedal immersed in nature, among woods of Mediterranean scrub, hedges of broom, pristine pine forests to the top where the vegetation will leave room for the barren landscape typical of volcanic areas. Leave the bicycles, we will continue briefly on foot to the crater from which we will enjoy a breathtaking view of the plain below and the Gulf of Naples. We will visit the crater listening to the history of the volcano and past eruptions, we will know more about the geology and flora and fauna of the National Park.

Once the visit is over, we will return by van to Sorrento or to the hotel.
