- Please note: On the following dates, the round-trip to and from Mount Rigi will be operated by cogwheel train due to cable car maintenance: 16–27 November 2026 and 1 March–2 April 2027

The views were...
The views were spectacular on the boat and at the top of the mountain. Our guide, Rosita, was knowledgeable and gave us lots of pointers. She gave us some history of the area and also gave us lots of time to explore on our own. She checked in often to make sure we were doing okay and to answer any questions. She also made sure we had good seats on the cogwheel and that we were able to sit on the boat. It was a very memorable day on Mt. Rigi. Highly recommend if you want to explore the mountain.
The best tour of Mount Rigi
Wonderful tour during a spectacular day! The views are outstanding! Plenty of time to enjoy the summit. Never felt rushed! We had a great tour guide name Rosita! She was knowledgeable , polite and very caring and concerned about everyone’s welfare! Only negative was the over crowded boat returning to Lucerne but Rosita rounded us all up and got a table in the lounge so we could relax on the way back to town! Go for it!

Amazing guide!
Our tour guide Gaby was amazing - pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful! We ended up being the only group on our tour so we essentially had a private guide who answered all of our questions and taught us so much history along the way! That made this trip totally worth it. It was nice having the logistics handled by an expert, however it didn’t seem too difficult if we had tried a go on our own.

Organized, informative and friendly tour guide. Mountains beautiful but sad to see mineral springs having to be regulated. Would recommend.
