Mount Kilimanjaro Full-Day Hiking via Marangu Route

We depart from the hotel in Arusha or Moshi at 6:00 AM and drive to Kilimanjaro National Park Gate (Marangu Gate) for registration with the authorities before you begin your long awaited hike. Along the way to Marangu gate we’ll be captivated by the countryside – coffee and banana plantations, through picturesque Marangu village, with Kilimanjaro rising majestically ahead of us.

We begin our hiking adventure from Marangu Gate heading to Mandara Hut. At first, the ridged trail is narrow as we wander through the rain forest. We experience the landscape, unique native vegetation, and local wildlife including monkeys and different species of birds. Depending on your fitness level, we will arrive at Mandara Hut for picnic lunch (three to four hours walking). After taking lunch, proceed walking to Maundi crater and later descend down to Marangu gate where our Van will be waiting for you to drive you back to your hotel in Arusha or Moshi.

Iconic Mount Kilimanjaro is the formidable landmark of Africa but you don’t need to climb it to observe its full beauty and the attracting physical features that surround it. We have designed the Kilimanjaro hiking day trip that gives you the opportunity to climb up the first leg of the famed Marangu Route up to Mandara Hut suitable for tourists with limited time and tourists who feel to be unfit for trekking Mt. Kilimanjaro to reach on roof top. On our way through rain forest we will get to experience incredible scenery, breathtaking landscapes, and keep your eyes peeled for monkeys and native bird species.
