Motor Tour Around Cat Ba - Boat Tour to Phu Long and visit Thien Long Cave
1 Introduction
Far from the center of Cat Ba Town, Phu Long Mangrove Forest Ecosystem features many different characteristics, is the residence of many kinds of birds and diversified mangrove fauna and flora.
Endowed by nature, Cat Ba Island have hundreds of unique and pristine caves. Thien Long Cave is one of most beautiful caves among caves in Cat Ba. Beside the beautiful scenery like the heaven, this is a place remains of the ancient people life, or used to be a place of refuge pirates
Thien Long cave is divided into 3 different part with a lot of stalactites and stalactites with water running down. In the first part, you will see a huge stone pillar in the middle. The second part has a lot of stalactites and stalactites like tree roots, you can knock in those and listen the sound like music tool. To come to the third part, you have to climb through a rock in the shape of turtle. It is so beautiful like a different world with many rock formations....
By join the tour by motorbike around Cat Ba, you will discover mangrove forest and most beautiful cave in Catba. Moreover, you also join directly vegetable planting in Xuan Dam village.
2 Itinerary
In the morning, , our guide will pick up you by motorbike and begin the tour. Following the trans-islet road tourist can see the wonderful landscapes of the island . The first destination is Hospital cave where served both as a secret, bomb-proof hospital during the Vietnam War and as a safe house for VC leaders. Built between 1963 and 1965, this incredibly well-constructed three-storey feat of engineering was in constant use until 1975. The cave is about 10km north of Cat Ba Town on the road to the national park entrance.
At 10h, we will visit Phu Long village where is a remote village in Cat Ba town near to sea.( Where is the Land of Dragon on the South west of Cat Ba island ). You transfer to boat to visit Mangrove Forest , fish farm and Thien Long cave ( Thien Long means Heaven Dragon – the biggest cave on the island was newly found in 1998), here you can see beautiful stalactites and stalagmites in the cave and visit some graves of ancient Viet people who died thousands year ago. It takes 30 minutes on the boat, then you will begin trekking on the jungle, go through to Mangrove Forest and visit Thien Long cave - a pristine and mysterious cave.
After visiting Thien Long cave, you will continue going to Xuan Dam village - a farming village with fresh air and produce vegetable for people in the Island.
You will have a lunch in local house. Then our guide will help you to visit around beaches where you can swim, take a sunbathe or simply relax in here.
At 15.30am, you will join to grow vegetable with local people in here.
At the 17.30, you return Hotel.
