The city of Delhi has been built and destroyed seven times but today, Delhi is basically divided in two parts - New Delhi and Old Delhi.  New Delhi is quite modern with government buildings, broad roads, flyovers, malls, big buildings etc. Old Delhi is very traditional with narrow streets, religious places, colorful old style bazaars and ancient monuments.  The two cities are in complete contrast to each other. You will be picked up from Delhi hotel at a time of your convenience (preferably 8:30 am) in a private AC sedan and you will see the best of Old Delhi, in our special group Rickshaw Tours and New Delhi with a private guide.  You will be dropped back to your hotel after eight to nine hours from the pick up time.  Old Delhi: You will be seeing Old Delhi either on Rickshaws as the motor vehicles cannot go inside the narrow streets. You will be thrilled to see the hustle bustle of the Old city, the vibrant bazaars, beautifully decorated shops, intricately carved facades of old Havelis, ethnically dressed men & women etc...The route usually includes: Historic Monuments: Jama Masjid Mosque, Red Fort, Town Hall Worship Places: Hindu Temple, Jain Temple, Christian Baptist Church, Fatehpuri Mosque & Sikh Temple Spice Market: Khari Baoli, Asia’s largest spice market Bazaars: Chandni Chowk, Kinari bazaar (wedding market, traditional outfits), Dariba kalan (silver street) etc. Havelis: Heritage Havelis with original Mughal architecture ( we either go inside or drive past the above places) New Delhi: Humayun's tomb (UNESCO World heritage site): The architecture of Taj Mahal is said to be inspired by this tomb. This is the first garden-tomb in India is a place of burial of a Mughal Emperor. Qutub Minar (UNESCO World heritage site): Victory Tower - built in 1200 AD is among the tallest and most famous towers in the world. Raj Ghat: Loosely translates as 'Kings Bank' is the burial place of Mahatma Gandhi - Father of the Nation India Gate (National War Memorial of India):The most important national monument of India and one of the biggest war memorials. This was built in the memory of 90,000 soldiers who died during world war I.  Presidents House: One of the largest residences of any Head of the State in the world in terms of its size, vastness and its magnificence. Official home of the President of India (outside visit only) After the eight hour tour, you will be dropped back to your Delhi Hotel.
