Depending on the start time selected at checkout, greet your guide outside of your Xian hotel in the morning or afternoon. Following a roughly 45-minute journey, you’ll arrive at the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, a UNESCO World Heritage archeological site discovered by farmers in 1974.
Feast your eyes on three exhibition pits, each holding life-sized figures of warriors, horses, musicians, acrobats, and strongmen. Discover the function of the figures, the earliest of which dates back to 210 BC and was built to protect China’s first emperor in the afterlife. See, too, rows of warriors and horses prepared for battle.
Before returning to Xian, you’ll stop at Xian Arts and Crafts center to purchase replicas of the statues and other souvenirs. Your tour concludes with hotel drop-off in Xian.
