Monument Valley Tour

Highlights

  • Take the stress out of renting a car with included transport

  • Upgrade for a Navajo home visit to listen to music

  • Choose from multiple tour times to fit your busy schedule

Summary

Meet for your tour in The View Hotel’s lobby in Monument Valley. Once you meet your guide, board an open-air vehicle for your guided adventure through the lower valley. Hear stories and legends about the area as you pass sights such as Mitten Buttes, John Ford's Point, Yeibichai, Three Sisters Spires, and Elephant Butte. Since your guide is a part of the local Navajo tribe, you’ll have access to areas most regular visitors don’t get to see. Get up close to Big Chief Monument and Sleeping Dragon Rock before moving on to one of the valley’s largest arches, Sun’s Eye, and Anasazi ruins. If you’ve chosen to upgrade your experience, visit a Yazzie family inside a hogan (a traditional Navajo home). Learn about the culture of the Navajo people, as well as their history in the valley. Your tour ends with a drop-off back at the lobby of The View Hotel.
