Too rushed, and too many people.
This is a large group bus tour. Very little time spent on Isle of Orleans which was disappointing. The best part was the Copper museum, and even that was rushed.
Unitour retrieved the day!
Taxis don't know the starting point for the tour, 2715 boulevard louis xiv or perhaps there is language difficulty although the driver spoke English.
Good if you just need a way to see these sites
Getting on the bus was a bit hectic— people lined up both sides of the door and nobody was directing people what was going on. This caused some agitation amongst the people in line. Our guide Simon was friendly and humorous. However, his accent was quite thick and when he spoke I could only understand about 75% of what he said. As a result I definitely missed out on explanations of what we were seeing since it was like listening on a phone conversation with bad reception. The basilica was beautiful and we had enough time at the falls to see what he wanted. Though I basically ended up Googling information on both while we were visiting since I didn’t feel like I really got a good overview from Simon. The copper shop was interesting and we got to the chocolate shop 20 minutes after it closed so we could basically just get some ice cream in the shop — not sure what the point of that was.
Countryside tour near Quebec City
Nice relaxing tour. Good commentary during the drive - a mix of history, culture and nature. The tour may not be too good for kids, it’s a little bit slow except for the chocolate shop.
Bus naps
I liked going to several locations that I wouldn’t have seen as I was without a vehicle. Daniel was a great guide. Added bonus - bus naps. I had only been on Quebec a day but the first day was all walking, stairs and hills so I was pooped already!
