Discover Montmartre on this self-guided journey with special commentaries from a local narrator who is proud to show you his neighborhood. You will spot some of the places where Amelie, the famous movie was filmed. You will witness the local scene in the Place du Theatre, where many painters and portrait painters have come together to exhibit and paint their works in the open air. Montmartre was perhaps the cradle of Impressionism, starting in the 19th century, where many famous artists such as Monet, Dalí, Picasso, Van Gogh, Renoir, Degas, and many others have lived. You will pass by L'espace, and discover the lyrics of Aznavour, and the place where the famous Edith Piaf once lived. Your narrator will tell you the stories of Picasso and Bateau-Lavoir, as you pass by the Atelier Picasso. The tour will end with the story of Vincent van Gogh as you spot the house where he rented a room in Rue Lepic when he was a struggling artist.
