Mongolia in 2 days

Summary

It is more than just that raw, physical attraction. Centuries of nomadic living have given Mongolians a natural bond with travelers. Mongolia’s nomadic culture is famous - visitors can sleep in a herder’s ger, help round up the sheep, ride horses and simply ‘get back to nature’. The legacy of Chinggis Khaan (Genghis Khan) and resurgent nationalist pride sharpens the experience. A culture of tremendous hospitality makes locals more accessible. In a world beset by locks and gates, it’s refreshing to meet people willing to open their doors to strangers. Day 1: Your day will start with a brief city tour, followed by a car trip to Genghis Khan Statue, the biggest equestrian statue in the world. There, you will see museums, metal soldiers, and learn about Chinggis Khaan himself. After that, you will head to Gorkhi-Terelj National Park, one of the most beautiful and closest national park to the city, to see infamous Turtle rock and Ariyabal meditation temple. Then, you will reach the middle of the park and have to leave the modern transportation and get on to a cow carriage to your next destination. Have a traditional lunch and dinner, learn the culture, talk to the nomads, experience their daily nomad life. After an eventful day, you will spend a night in a renowned ger. Day 2: After a traditional breakfast we’ll head back to the local family for the horseback riding experience. Horseback riding is an optional activity. You will get a fascinating glimpse into daily routines of a remarkable culture and Mongol history in 2 days.
