Enjoy convenient pickup at your Port of Spain hotel around 9am, where you'll climb into a tour vehicle and travel through the plains of central Trinidad to Chaguanas. Along the way, your guide will provide commentary on the island's history, culture, and people.
Walk through the local produce market and the busy bazaars that line the streets of Trinidad's third-largest city. See local residents going about their daily lives and check out some East Indian snacks, such as khurma (own expense).
Continue to a pottery studio, where you can see artisans in the process of shaping, baking, and drying vases, pots, and wind chimes. You may even get the chance to try it yourself.
Take a tour of the Hindu temple that is home to one of the world's largest statues of the monkey god, Lord Hanuman. Get a chance to learn about the temple's rituals and traditions while you tour the attached yoga center. Drive to the Temple of the Sea and Cremation Site, then visit the East Indian Museum, before stopping for a roti lunch (own expense).
Around 2pm, head home for drop-off.
