- Infants (ages 3 and under) are free
- To enter the monasteries, appropriate clothing is required. Women should not wear short skirts and must have long sleeves. Men are not allowed to wear shorts.
- Amendments are serviced based on the availability
- The tour requires customers to climb stairs upon their approach to the monasteries. If someone finds climbing stairs challenging, it is possible to wait at the parking area where some benches are.
- Customers do not need to buy the monasteries tickets ahead of time. They pay in cash on the spot.
- The bus that will drive the customers to Kalambaka is only for the travel group.

Tour guide was amazing. Maria is a rockstar. Dinged it a star because it was not an 8-course Greek lunch. It was one main and a salad. This tour is loooooong. Be prepared, we did not get back to the meeting point until just after 10 pm. Other than that, the bus was clean and the monasteries are amazing.
Apprehension is an illusion
Well, I am the world's worst for long journeys but it didn't feel like that at all. Comfy coach. Great roads. Regular stops. No kids. Turned out perfect by luck or design. Then the locations just opened up and you think even if it was a 20h round trip I'd do it again.
Long day, but worth it!
We unfortunately didn’t get picked up from our agreed meeting point and it wasn’t communicated until 20 minutes after we were supposed to be picked up that we needed to go to Larissa Station. We then had to pay for a taxi to get there, which was an additional cost. Thankfully, they did wait for us to get there. Apparently, there was a problem with the bus. The tour itself was excellent. The guide was fabulous and the Meteora Monasteries were amazing.

A long day but absolutely worth it. The guide and bus driver were excellent, though the food stop can be rushed if you don’t order 30-45 minutes ahead for dinner. Incredible scenery and a great day!
