From the Marina di Torregrande we’ll pedal towards Cabras, which is famous for its pond, its fishermen and especially for its fish eggs (bottarga). After leaving this particular village, we’ll go towards Riola Sardo and then, pedalling through the Sinis peninsula, we’ll move to Putzu Idu, which has one of the most beautiful beaches in Sardinia. On this beach we’ll can meet the fabulous pink flamingos who settle here on some months of the year. Pedalling towards south on roads where there’s not much traffic and where the vegetation is full with thousands of good fragrances, it will be possible to visit Is Arutas beach, whose characteristic is its sand, as it is made of little ground grains of white quartz; it will also be possible to visit the Mari Ermi beach, which is itself rich with particular colours.

Our next destination is San Giovanni di Sinis where we can admire the beautiful ruins of the ancient roman harbour named Tharros, placed at the beginning of the promontory on the north side of Oristano gulf.

A few km more and we’ll finally be in Marina di Torregrande where we’ll be happy to dive into the sea water. Distance: 45 km / 27 mi
