Board your hop-on, hop-off bus in Adelaide and head to the McLaren Vale region, about 40 minutes south of the city. Choose to get off at any of the more than 15 winery stops and customize your itinerary with the help of a comprehensive timetable. Known for its Shiraz, McLaren Vale also produces Sangiovese, Barbera, Grenache, and Cabernet Sauvignon, and most of the area’s wineries also offer local produce as part of the tasting experience. Located along the Fleurieu coastline, the region offers plenty of scenic vistas, and many of its wineries feature picnic areas and benches for enjoying the views, wine, and food at your own pace.
