That something extra is a focus on Hawaii’s forgotten battle history, warrior culture, and martial arts. This historical emphasis adds that extra touch of authenticity which sets Mauka Warriors Luau apart from other luaus on Oahu.
Though warrior culture was once an important part of Hawaiian life, its teachings and traditions were suppressed in the 1800s and almost forgotten. Mauka Warriors Luau is committed to honoring these traditions and teaching this rich history to others. Mauka incorporates these traditions throughout the evening luau. They teach ancient martial arts during the pre-dinner cultural activities and incorporate bits of history and battle reenactments throughout the evening performance.
