If you want to enjoy a traditional Moroccan evening in luxury, this experience should not be missed. The food is fantastic and the music and entertainment create a wonderful atmosphere.
Select your chosen restaurant and begin your evening with a pickup at your central Marrakech hotel or Djemaa El-Fna, the city’s central square. This bustling expanse forms the heart of Marrakech’s UNESCO-listed old medina, with its maze-like streets and souks.
Next, head for your chosen restaurant — the Palais Gharnata or Palais Arabe, tucked away in the medina. Each set in a gorgeously restored Moroccan palace, both provide a glittering setting for your meal, with high archways, inlaid cedar wood and blue-tiled interiors that capture the essence of medieval Morocco. The Palais Gharnata is housed in a wonderful 16th-century mansion, while the Palais Arabe occupies the magnificent former home of a noble family.
Head inside and be seated at your table. Then, soak up the magical atmosphere and ornate, lantern-lit surroundings as you dine on Moroccan classics such as tender tagine, couscous and melt-in-the-mouth dessert pastries. See the Itinerary for sample menus.
As you eat, enjoy a splendid folklore show of Moroccan dancing and music. Watch shimmying belly dancers and enjoy traditional songs and music that speak of the country’s intertwined Andalusian and Arabic heritages.
After your meal, your outing finishes with a drop-off at your original start point.
