Marrakech Day Trip with Camel Ride from Casablanca

Absolutely spectacular tour, safe travel to and from Casablanca to Marrakech in a very comfortable vehicle. Fabulous driver and guide, showed us all the hidden gems and the absolute best spots to eat and use washrooms (invaluable!); even helped us haggle for the best price on souvenirs. Would definitely recommend to anyone up for a full day tour.

I booked this private tour through Viator for eight persons staying at two different hotels. First, let me tell you about two of the drivers that work for this company, Premium transfers and Tours. Mohammed Houmaiza was absolutely fabulous so much so that I asked for him to take us on another tour but he was booked. He was on time in a nice clean large van equipped with WiFi, usb ports, and bottled water. He began the three hour drive with a talk about Morocco and Casablanca. Half way through the drive he stopped at a rest stop for a bathroom break. Then onward to Marrakech. in Marrakech, there was a new tour guide. Abdul who was also educated annd knowledgeable. He gave us a thorough history of Moroccan Berbers. .The tour included about a fifteen minute horse carriage ride through the old Medina and past the Kings palace. There is a lot of walking on this your on cobble stones and uneven pavement. Wear some good walking shoes, bring water in a thermos, a sun visor, sun screen and sun glasses. A small hand held fan came in handy because the heat was blazing. We visited a carpet showroom and argon oil dispensary. The shoppjng was fantastic at the souk as well as plenty of vendors, snake charmers and entertainment at the public square. I actually bought a tiny chandelier. Then finally the camel ride which lasted about fifteen minutes. You must be in some semblance of health to do this activity. You will be leaned backwards and forward getting on and off the camel. Then back to Casablanca. I booked a second private tour of Casablanca but since Mohammed was booked, they sent Taha. OMG! What a treat he was from start to finish. The tour started by transferring us to our new hotel. The new 2026 Mercedes van was clean, WiFi and usb port and AC enabled. Plenty of room for everyone. And, on top of that, he had a tray full of candies that he offered us. Taha was extremely knowledgeable about Casablanca and he took us to the waterfront where we got excellent photos of the Mosque and the 120 year old light house. Taha took great group photos of us like a professional photographer. On the tour, he took us to sights and neighborhoods that I don’t think are traditionally on a tour. While on the tour he even bought us ice cream and water. We went to a restaurant Cabestan, where the food was excellent. But, they allow smoking in there which we didn’t like. I lost fifty dollars and I didn’t know where. Taha called and told me he found money on the van and told me that he would bring it to me. That was the most incredible display of honesty and integrity that I have ever had on a tour in a foreign country. I did not expect to find that money because usually when you lose cash, it’s gone. When I told my friends and everyone at the hotel about him, they were shocked. When he rolled up in front of the hotel that night, they came out to cheer for him. Taha is a special kind of good, a total angel. Thank you Taha and Premium Transfers and Tours for an absolutely wonderful experience in Casablanca and Marrakech.

This excursion was so much fun. Our driver/guide Houmaiza was remarkable. The ride was smooth with adequate breaks. The carriage ride was wonderful. Shopping at the square In Marrakech was a dream. Eating at Coco on the roof was an experience. We ran over in time returning to Casablanca but our driver was patience, pleasant and professional. Thank you Houmaiza.
