Looking for a hassle-free outdoor adventure without the need to pitch a tent? Discover our pre-assembled, National Park Style Canvas tents perched on sturdy decks along the Potomac River in Harpers Ferry. Enjoy uninterrupted river views from each site, with the terrain gently descending towards the water’s edge. For easy river access, we recommend using the nearby boat ramp. Our glamping experience comes complete with a full-sized bed and frame, picnic table, and fire ring for your convenience. Plus, each site includes parking space for one vehicle.

  • Checking in after 10 pm, wait until AM for setup
  • Busy weekends in season book at 2-4 weeks in advance
  • Sites are for 2 adults & 2 children
  • Noise: The nearby train runs 24/7 days a week.

Cancellation

Cancellation Cutoff: 24 days

Cancellation Notes: -Tours run rain or shine. Tours are non-refundable and non-changeable within 3 days of your trips departure date. -Paying for the Cancellation Protection allows you to cancel your tour and receive a full refund on the value of the tour up to 4 hours before your trip

River Riders has 3 onsite food options available seasonally. We have a full service bar and restaurant called the Alstadts Ale House, Quick Service Two River Tacos, and the Harpers Ferry Ice Cream Shop. If you have a group, the River Riders Chef can provide full service catering and event facilities. Guests can also bring their own food to take on their trip or eat onsite afterwards. We do not allow outside catering without prior written agreement or approval.

River Riders has 5 vacation rental homes on site that are booked through Airbnb. We also have a riverfront campground with 8 cabins and a variety of RV and tent sites.

Be on time. We cannot wait for late arrivals. Plan to check in 1 hour before your trip’s departure time so you will have time to get your gear and take care of last minute personal chores. We reserve the right to cancel without a refund in the event you arrive after your confirmed trip time.

Leave your rings, jewelry and valuables at home. We suggest you not take expensive cameras or phones on the river.

What is the weather policy?
