Your tour begins with hotel pickup in Cusco between 7:20am and 8:15am. Board a vehicle and drive to the famous ruins of Chinchero Town. You will continue driving along the Urubamba River towards the town of Ollantaytambo (2,700m / 8,858ft). Once there, you will visit the ruins of Ollantaytambo, a significant construction built during the pinnacle of the Incan civilization. This is an extraordinary place where you will also see an amazing rock formation representing the Inca god Wiracocha.
We will have a gourmet lunch, in the heart of the Sacred Valley, at El Huerto Belmond Restaurant : Fusing the region’s best-kept culinary secrets with some signature twists, fresh herbs and spices are woven into local specialties and international delicacies. The result is a menu that’s anything but predictable.
After lunch we will continue Pisaq (Pisaq Market),this is a famous market, here there are literally hundreds of individual vendors, whose market stalls engulf the streets of the town in a blanket of tables, knitted products and plastic tarpaulins. Although many of the vendors sell similar products: knitted scarfs, trinkets, jewellery, alpaca jumpers, clothing and ceramics etc. there are also stalls which sell unique quality products which make excellent gifts or personal purchases.
Continuing the journey, will drive up to Pisaq archaeological sites (2,950m / 9,678ft), where you will see and learn about different aspects of the Incan culture. You will be able to view intricate stone workings and impressive agricultural terraces all over the place.
Finally, you will head back to Cusco and be dropped-off at your hotel, arriving at approximately 6:30pm.
