Luxor Sunrise Hot-Air Balloon Ride with Sunset Felucca Cruise

We were looking forward to the Hot air balloon ride on Sept 4, 2026 however we were notified the day before that the Egyptian Aviation Authority had restricted all flights for Sept 4 due to weather conditions. Needless to say we were disappointed. Nice Tours said I could reschedule or submit the refund request. As we were leaving Luxor the next day, I submitted a refund. I had my doubts if I would ever receive my refund. I was thoroughly impressed with their support through the refund request and professionalism. They provided detailed instructions on how to submit the request, even the content for the message. I was pleasantly surprised when I received my refund. Thanks Nice Tours for the quick turnaround. I will certainly recommend Nice Tours and would use them again.

I booked a hot air balloon flight in Luxor, expecting a well-organised experience. Instead, the operator cancelled due to internal issues, not weather. Other balloons were flying that day. That evening I was first told it was due to bad weather and was offered alternative dates, September 13th or 14th, which was impossible because we already had other activities booked and paid. What followed was extremely disappointing. Instead of simply cancelling and refunding, I spent more than three hours of my holiday being passed from one party to another with no real help. We had just come back from an exhausting trip to Cairo and had barely slept. Rather than enjoying our holiday, I was stuck translating messages, writing emails, and chasing a solution. It was not about the money anymore (more then 106€), but about the wasted time, stress and loss of a precious holiday day. Fortunately, once I finally managed to reach Viator by email, they handled it immediately and resolved the issue very quickly. My advice to other travellers: be very cautious when booking with this “Nice Tours!” !!! If this is an important part of your trip, a last-minute cancellation like this can throw everything off. I was extremely disappointed with the organisation and communication. I cannot recommend it.

Oh, my God. Cancel on the day. If you ask the local Egyptians, August is the season when all balloons don't fly. If you know from the start, you don't have to make an appointment. My schedule just fell apart right before the hour, and it was the worst.

Hamdi is a very friendly young man 😊der accompanied us very well on the tour and explained everything about the Egyptian sight and culture in detail❤️we would do the tour with him again anytime :) it is a breathtaking experience 😍😍

Excellent English speaking tour guide named Hassan Esnawi who picked us up from our hotel and took us on a customised tour of the Tombs of valleys of the kings in Luxor. I appreciated how clear he was when speaking and his knowledge. We were tired and he also arranged for us to rest. 5 star!
