With a former luchador as your guide, listen to insider stories about the wrestlers' lives and careers as you enjoy a tasting of mezcal and guacamole. Next, head to the Arena Mexico, often called the “cathedral of Lucha libre.” Gain a perspective rarely available to visitors, as you take a tour of the arena. Going with a former luchador may afford you the opportunity to meet the wrestlers before the show. As the fight begins, your guide explains the rules and characters of the sport, which can be confusing without proper context. Since the show ends after dark, the guide navigates public transit or arranges a taxi for you (own expense).
