Loop Head Lighthouse, perched at the dramatic tip of Kilbaha, County Clare, Ireland, is one of Ireland's oldest lighthouses, erected in 1670 with its tower rebuilt in 1854. Operated by Commissioners of Irish Lights, it offers guided tours to the original tower and balcony, revealing ocean panoramas and the rugged Atlantic coastline. The lighthouse also hosts an attendant's cottage for overnight stays, providing a unique maritime experience. Visitors arrive to wind-swept cliffs, tidal shoals, and dramatic seascapes, and can plan visits through loopheadlighthouse.ie. Open status fluctuates; current tours are planned to resume around mid-March 2025, subject to weather and operations.
