Meet a guide on the Zambian side of Victoria Falls, where you’ll pay park entrance fees and set out on foot to the edge of the waterfall, following a relatively easy trail.
When you reach Livingstone Island, cross to the eastern side for views of Rainbow Falls and Horseshoe Falls and then see the main waterfall from the island’s western edge. From this angle, it’s common to see rainbows in the rising mist, and it’s a completely different experience than viewing Victoria Falls from Zimbabwe.
The next stop is Devil’s Pool, where you’ll have the option to swim upstream in the slow current, sitting at the very edge of Victoria Falls, a short distance from the powerful main channel.
The trip concludes at the original departure point.
