Meet your guide at a convenient location in central London’s Fitzrovia neighborhood. If you’ve selected the “Any Time, Any Day” option, pick your own departure time after 12pm. If you’ve chosen the Saturday Promenade option, your tour will begin in the late afternoon.
Begin the tour by venturing into a pub and taking part in a beloved local tradition: the pub quiz. Test your knowledge on literary subjects, and sip a pint of ale, if you’d like (own expense).
Next, continue to a number of literary-minded locations in Fitzrovia and Soho. As you go, your guide will share stories about the luminaries who once walked these streets, from Charles Dickens and Dylan Thomas to Karl Marx and Virginia Woolf. You’ll also watch re-enactments of key moments in British literary history, and learn about contemporary artists and writers like Paul McCartney and Damien Hirst.
This tour concludes at the Coach & Horses pub in Soho.
