Make your way to a central location in Lisbon, and then set out on foot through the city. Start with a round of petiscos (Portuguese tapas) at a local restaurant, and then duck into the 18th-century Café Nicola for a taste of café culture and a trademark sweet. Nibble a Portuguese codfish cake alongside some vinho verde, a refreshing green wine. Next, head to a Bairro Alto wine bar for tapas and a glass of local white wine. Stop by a seafood restaurant and discover a trove of sausages, salted fish, ham, and cheese inside a gourmet shop. Sip some Portuguese cherry brandy paired with São Jorge cheese at a nearby bar, and then sample ginjinha (liqueur from a historic watering hole).
