After meeting your guide and small group of no more than 8 people in central Lisbon, set out on the scenic journey to Cape Espichel. Admire the spectacular views along the Tagus River as you pass over the Portuguese Golden Gate Bridge, then continue south, watching as the urban landscape gives way to rolling hills and lush vineyards.
Continue to the coast to explore the lively fishing town of Sesimbra, where you’ll have time to stroll the scenic beachside promenade, take in the views from the medieval Sesimbra Castle, and snap photos of the colorful fishing harbor. There will also be chance to enjoy lunch (own expense) at one of Sesimbra’s renowned fish restaurants.
After lunch, drive through the idyllic landscapes of the Arrabida Natural Park, stopping to take in the views of the Arrabida Mountain and the sandy beaches along the coast. Hear how the region’s Mediterranean climate produces a huge variety of fresh produce as you journey past olive groves, chamomile and lavender plantations, and fields of strawberries, pistachios, and thyme.
There’s just time for one more stop – at a family-owned vineyard nestled in the foothills of the mighty Arrabida Mountain. After indulging in the final wine tasting of the day, travel back to Lisbon, where your tour ends back in the city center.
