Why take this tour?

Every visitor to Lisbon wants to visit Bairro Alto—but few people have the opportunity to eat and drink your way around this iconic neighborhood like a local. On this fun evening tour, you'll taste our favorite petiscos and drinks in this essential corner of Lisbon!

Your evening begins at an iconic local restaurant in beautiful Príncipe Real. Here you’ll get a crash course in everything petiscos and start trying some of our favorite snacks.

Next, head to one of Lisbon's most incredible miradouros, or viewpoints, to enjoy unforgettable city views and hear a bit of fascinating local history.

From there, make your way into Bairro Alto, where people from all walks of life have called home for five centuries. See the city come to life all around you en route to your next food stop: a beloved restaurant where you'll dig into freshly prepared salt cod and fire-roasted chouriço prepared right before your eyes.

Traditional Portuguese tascas are the best places to try great Portuguese food while immersing yourself in local life, so that's where you'll head next. At this spot, you'll try home-cooked dishes prepared by the owner himself, like delicious duck rice.

Finally, head into the happening Bica neighborhood to finish the evening. Enjoy a custard tart from one of Lisbon's best-loved spots for this famous treat, and pair it with amarguinha, a traditional Portuguese almond liqueur. You'll leave with a full understanding of how to do petiscos like a local and be ready to explore Lisbon's incredible food culture on your own!
