Learn To Cook From a Local: Private Cooking Class and Market Visit In Bangkok

This is a unique opportunity to visit the home of a local and explore traditional culture and cuisine. In the kitchen, Mike and his lovely mother will help you prepare some of their favorite dishes which could include dishes such as fried sea bass in red curry with passion fruit sauce (chili paste, cayenne pepper, palm sugar, passion fruit and kaffir lime leaves), Thai-style omelet (eggs, garlic, tomato, carrot and onion) and stir fried Chinese kale (mushroom, soy sauce, and garlic).

Visit a local fresh market to learn about seasonal Thai produce and pick up a few ingredients for your lunch. After your shopping is complete, you'll drive to your host's home for a hands-on cooking lesson. Your host Mike is a professionally trained chef who loves to cook at home with his family. He and his mother will teach you how to cook some of their favorite Thai dishes in their kitchen at home. Enjoy the meal you helped prepare and learn about Thai cultural and culinary heritage from a local.
