Land & Sea: Cave, Monkeys & Turtles

Summary

After being picked up from your Barbados hotel, meet your guide and small group of up to 12 people, and set out to the island’s East Coast. After a quick stop to take in the views from Bathsheba beach, visit Welchman Hall Gully, where you’ll enjoy a guided tour of the rainforest and have chance to spot wild Green Monkeys in their natural environment. Continue to Harrison's Cave, a magnificent underground cavern formed out of crystallized limestone. Ride the purpose-built tramway through the caves, passing cascading waterfalls, emerald-green lagoons, and a dramatic array of stalagmites and stalactites. Head back to the West Coast for lunch (included) and tuck into a delicious lunch at Copacabana Beach, located right on the beachfront. After some free time to relax and enjoy the beach, set out on a scenic boat cruise around Carlisle bay. While on-board, keep a look out for sea turtles and other marine life, then prepare for a thrilling wildlife encounter. After a safety briefing and instruction on how to swim around the turtles, dive into the ocean to swim and enjoy a closer look at the wild sea turtles. Swimming will be accompanied by a guide at all times, and there will be no contact or interaction with the sea turtles to ensure that their natural environment is not disturbed. After returning to shore, your driver will be waiting to take you back to your hotel. Please note: Washrooms, and freshwater showers are provided at Copacabana Beach, but please bring your own swimsuit and beach towels.
