Lake Nakuru Safari Day Trip from Nairobi

Your English speaking driver will pick you from your hotel at 7:00 am for onward departure for your scenic drive down into the Great Rift Valley from Nairobi, stopping en-route at the Valley Viewpoint for 15 minutes so you can enjoy the landscape and take photos of one of the largest valleys in the World. 

Proceed with your journey to arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park at approximately 10am. This is a Bird & Rhino sanctuary as well as being one of the premier wildlife parks in Kenya, being the natural habitat for a variety of wildlife including Big Cats and plains game. Note that the Elephant and Cheetah are Not present in this park.

Upon entry to the park, your Driver-Guide will open the vehicle's game viewing roof to begin a comprehensive game drive of the park, spotting and pointing out wildlife as you explore the park along it's gravel roads and tracks. You will also be taken to the Baboon Hill Cliff, one of the most spectacular places in the park overlooking the lake as well the Hippo Pools, where you may be able to spot Hippos along the shores of the lake.

Between 1pm to 2pm of thereabouts, you will visit one of the lodges in the park for a short washroom break, and during this time you may also choose to have your lunch here ( at your own cost), either on ala carte basis or on set-meal buffet basis, depending on what the lodge offers on the day.

Proceed with the rest of your game drive after lunch, exiting the park by 3:30pm to arrive back in Nairobi by 6:30 to 7pm. You will be dropped off to any hotel of your choice or to the international airport as per your preference.

Visit one of Kenya's premier wilderness area, the picturesque Lake Nakuru National Park during a day trip from Nairobi and enjoy the stunning scenery and wildlife of this UNESCO World Heritage site, home to a rich diversity of wildlife ranging from Lion, Leopard, Rhino and Giraffe, not to mention over 400 bird species including flamingos, plovers, marabou stork, white pelican and egrets. This is private day tour starts at 7:00 am, ending back in Nairobi by 6:30pm although the timing can be flexible based on passenger requests. The group size is a maximum of 6 passengers in a tour van to ensure a window seat for all.
