La Coruna Santiago de Compostela Shore Excursion

Our guide was Natasha. We were picked up from right outside of port at 11 am. For some reason viator showed us it was at 9am but in messages they told us to meet them at 10:45am. At first guide told us that this tour included bus ride with guide where they will tell you about the places and then give you 3 hrs of free time in the city by yourself. And return to the port. But none of us were comfortable being by ourselves. Then she said she is going to take a walk to some place where there is best view of cathedral so we all told her we would like to follow her to that park, it was nice picture spot. Then we came back to cathedral and she showed us queue where u get to hug apostle and line was not too bad. We saw crypt too. Then she told us to go eat and buy souvenirs which we did and walked back to bus station. Meeting point was little confusing so we decided to just walk to the bus station instead. Tip: if u wanna do something from La coruna port between 9am to 11am until ur Santiago tour starts you can walk to tower of Hercules. The view from there is spectacular.

We booked 9Am 7hours tour, end up assigned to 11Am only 5 hours tour, we were cheated. It was cheating us with 5 hours tour claimed as 7 hours tour.

The trip was uneventful. The guide gave us plenty of information about Fatima before we arrived. There is quite a bit of walking involved. By the afternoon it began to get very crowded in the plaza. I was disappointed that the tour left an hour later than it was originally scheduled for - it left us little time to explore everything we wanted to take in.

Meeting and beginning times was an hour later than had been sold by Viator which shortened our tour. Nonetheless, our guide, Mercedes was fabulous. 👌 She gave my wife and I a lot of personal attention explaining in detail during our free time. Highly recommend the tour.

We really enjoyed this tour. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the meeting point description after we disembarked this ship was wrong. It took us half an hour to figure out how to meet with the tour guide. It didn’t mention on the description that we need to take a shuttle bus first. We thought the tour guide would be meeting us right outside the ship.
