Koločep Island: guided kayak, swim & snorkle day tour
Summary
Tour info
Why take this tour?
Visiting Kolocep by kayak offers paddlers an intimate view of simple island life. Kayakers who venture to Koločep are rewarded with spectacular views of Dubrovnik, the open sea, and the Elafiti Islands. The tour begins with car transport from Dubrovnik to Zaton Bay. Koločep is an island stopped in time. The island has a population of roughly 150 and is without roads or cars. The island's dramatic cliffs rise abruptly from the sea, revealing wind carved caves. Visit the island’s two small settlements, hike its shady walking trails, and sample and purchase products grown and produced on the tiny island: homemade jams, dried herbs, rakija, candied fruits, and virgin olive at a family farm stand. Paddle to an unforgettable lunch at a charming seaside restaurant in one of the island’s 2 small settlements. Highlights include snorkeling in Blue Cave, swimming in a cove surrounded by towering cliffs, walking through pine forest and citrus groves, and feasting on the local catch of the day.
