Summary

Part One: Flying the kite on the beach. Once you know how to set up, launch, fly, and land your kite as well as the safety actions and water re-launching, you’ll be ready to get wet. Part Two: Controlling the kite in the warm Cabarete sea then managing the board in one hand while flying the kite in the water. Part Three: Getting the board on your feet, standing up for the first time, and experiencing the thrill of your first ride! Becoming Independent After you are up and cruising we offer advanced lessons, supervision with assistant instructors, gear rental, and used (or new) kitesurfing equipment for sale so you can keep kiteboarding independently (or with as much help as you need or want).

You can learn kiteboarding! Yes I’m talking to YOU! Kiteboarding looks amazing. When you see it it’s fascinating and for most people you just want more. Many people think it’s great but they could never do it. Right now you might be thinking, “Can I really do kiteboarding lessons in Cabarete?” Well I’m here to tell you all: no matter your current fitness level (and you don’t need upper body strength) nor your age (our students take kiteboarding lessons from 7 years old to 70 years old) my awesome team of instructors can transform YOU into a kitesurfer. We’ve been doing this here in Cabarete since 2003. It would be an honor to share our knowledge and experience with you here in the Dominican Republic! Kiteboarding lessons at LEK Cabarete are tailored to suit your individual goals and abilities. Students come to us at all stages of their kiteboarding journey. We don’t have a one size fits all approach to teaching kiteboarding, we personalize the program just for you.
