- This tour has separate departure locations depending on whether you are staying in Hervey Bay or Rainbow Beach. Please make sure you book the correct departure location. If you are staying in Hervey Bay, select pick up from Buccaneer Drive. If you are staying in Rainbow Beach, select pick up from Rainbow Beach Road.
- The commencement of hotel pickups is approximately 2 hours prior to the departure time of the tour, you must make telephone contact with the local service provider to book the pickup and verify the exactness of your pickup time, this must be done at least 48hrs prior to the departure.

A wonderful experience!
We had a wonderful experience and it was a first for us Aussies and our Canadian cousins! It was a smooth and well organised tour and our driver/guide Dean was knowledgeable, had a great sense of humour and looked after us extremely well.
We worth it
A long day especially as we were first to be picked up and almost last to be dropped off. A wonderful experience seeing this beautiful landscape and island. Took the optional short flight from the sand which was excellent albeit a bit short.
Some good bits but long day and few wildlife experiences
Early start and lots of pick-ups. Coach comfortable. Ferry ride interesting with dolphins, views of mangrove and a distant turtle. Smooth operation, after arrival on Fraser Island loaded onto special bus that can cope with sand. 45mins to 75 mile beach, drove fast along this but views went by quickly. A stop on a quiet section of beach to take things in would have been useful. Shipwreck was photogenic. Stop at creek to drift short distance on floatation device was good, but it is not very long. Buffet lunch included but basic. Forest walk was good but only plants seen. No animals seen during trip. Picturesque lake for swimming. Ferry ride back at sunset. Blair was our guide/driver and was full of information and was cheerful and courteous. Full day so not back until after dark.
Magical place, amazing guide, perfect day trip!
Had an amazing experience today, made perfect by our guide and driver Blair - from his courteous driving to his knowledgeable commentary he is a true ambassador of this magical place. This is a must do trip.
Perfection all round!
Wow, what a fabulous day! We did the one day tour with Blair and it was such an excellent and effortless way to experience the stunning sights of K’gari. The bus was clean, comfortable and the ride was great fun. Blair was incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining, sharing lots of interesting information along the way without ever making it feel like a history lesson. Lunch was a delicious buffet with a fantastic range of food, followed by a swim at the absolutely jaw dropping Lake McKenzie. We then enjoyed a cuppa with muffins and bikkies — perfect! Everything was so well organised, relaxed and enjoyable. We saw so much in one day without ever feeling rushed. Huge thanks to Blair for making the day so much fun — we absolutely loved it and would highly recommend this tour.
