Board your inflatable zodiac boats right in downtown Ketchikan, Alaska. See Ketchikan from the water and avoid the crowds. Follow your guide and explore the Inside Passage of Southeast Alaska. Most tours take in views of Historic Creek Street, the Totem Poles at Saxman Native Village, and cruise the Tongass Narrows searching for bald eagles, seals and sea lions and often humpback whales or sometimes pods of Orca!
We've got you covered with all new gear! This excursion starts out by getting you outfitted in Bibs, Jackets, Boots, Gloves & Dry Bags provided for the adventure. Then we load up and run through a safety talk before launching out on the protected Pacific waterways.
This is a self driving excursion on the water. Up to 4 guests may be in each vessel. If you are a couple you may be paired with another couple on the tour. We provide the opportunity for our groups to have up to 2 guests per boat to have time to drive on the tour if desired. Must be 21+ to drive.

Before you go

We recommend that you wear clothing that would be appropriate for an outdoor hike through the forest with the weather on your given day. The best advice for gearing up for any excursion along your cruise is to bring layers. Quick dry clothing is always better than blue jeans!

Cancellation Policy

Full payment is due at time of online booking. Cancellations due to weather are rare, but are at the sole discretion of Ketchikan Kayak Co. If you miss your tour due to ship/flight schedule changes (e.g. if your ship skips this port or if your flight is cancelled or changed and you can't physically be in Ketchikan for the tour) or if we cancel due to high winds, you will receive a full refund. NO TOURS IN KETCHIKAN CANCEL FOR RAIN.
Cancellations made prior to 7 days of tour date receive a full refund.
Cancellations made by the guest within 7 days of the tour are not eligible for a refund, for any reason, unless we are able to resell the seats.
If your ship is late or decides to depart early we always do our best to accommodate the schedule change and make sure you can take the tour, do not automatically assume the tour is cancelled/refunded. Those scenarios are rare in Ketchikan, but we can often work with the change. If we can't get you on tour with us due to a ship schedule change or if you have another experience booked the same day and have to choose between the two due to the schedule change, you can provide us with the booking details for the other tour/experience that you've chosen to do and we'll refund your tour with us.
This is our official policy but we know things happen in life and vacation can sometimes be stressful. Please contact us with any changes and we'll do our very best to work it out.
Ketchikan hosts cruise ships 7 days a week all summer and we usually have 3 to 6 ships in port a day. Almost none of them stay over night. So our tours with a max of 10 or 12 guests are very small while there are thousands of guests in port daily. We take your limited time here on vacation very seriously and we know we rarely get second chances.
