Kenai Fjords National Park Glacier & Wildlife Cruise: afternoon departure

Make your way to the meeting location, and board a comfortable catamaran equipped with a heated cabin and warm beverages. Set off through Resurrection Bay in Kenai Fjords National Park en route to Holgate or Aialik Glacier, and stop and watch for calving, which is when large chunks of ice break off and crash into the water.

Continue past the Chiswell Islands to your second stop at Cape Resurrection (weather dependent), famous for its large population of nesting seabirds such as puffins and cormorants. Other wildlife sightings could include sea lions, sea otters, bald eagles, and mountain goats.

Throughout the cruise, take in views of the pristine Alaskan wilderness while learning about the sights from the experienced onboard naturalist.
