Make the journey south to the city of Kecskemét, situated on the fringes of Hungary’s ‘puszta’ or Great Plains.
On arrival, take a guided walk around Kecskemét’s beautiful downtown area to admire its art nouveau architecture, including the City Hall, Theater, churches, and Old Synagogue.
From here, travel onward to a Hungarian farm and enjoy a traditional welcome drink of the country’s famous barackpálinka (apricot brandy), served alongside pogácsa (salty scones).
Next, take the opportunity to enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride on the puszta grasslands, and watch a classic Hungarian horse show featuring several breathtaking stunts.
After admiring the horseriding displays, sit down to a tasty 3-course local lunch, including Hungary’s famous goulash stew, wine, water and coffee, and accompanied by the country’s gypsy music.
Your tour then ends with a drop-off in Budapest city center.
