Meet you guide at the designated start time and location: 82-5674 Kahau Place Captain Cook Hawaii 96740. After a safety briefing, board your kayak and head out toward the Captain Cook Monument and Kealakekua Bay.
While paddling, listen as your guide points out and explains the coast's features, from the towering sea cliffs of Pali Kapu o Keoua to Napoopoo Beach, and the ancient remnants of Kaawaloa village. Keep an eye out for Hawaiian spinner dolphins splashing and leaping by the shore. In winter, you may also spot humpback whales breaching in the distance.
Upon arrival at the Captain Cook monument, pull your kayak up on the shore and embark upon a scenic hike before snorkeling in the waters of Kealakekua Bay. Enjoy lunch by the monument before paddling back to Napoopoo Landing where your tour concludes.
