Kayak Adventure in Cape Town, Table Mountain National Reserve

Summary Description

CAPE KAYAK Adventures has the ideal location to launch and explore the Table Bay coastline from the sea providing unique and spectacular photo opportunities. Our shop is conveniently located at Three Anchor Bay where all our kayaks are stored on the beach. From Three Anchor Bay we embark on a 3 – 5 km journey either towards Clifton or V&A Waterfront.

The view of Signal Hill, Lion’s Head, Table Mountain and the 12 Apostles is unforgettable. Uninterrupted views of our spectacular mountain range and the sea breeze will leave you feeling rejuvenated and hungry to taste more of what the Mother City has to offer.

The trip to Granger Bay takes us past the Green Point Lighthouse, the wrecks of the Seafarer and RMS Athens and to one of the favorite hangouts for our endemic Heaviside's dolphins. They are common companions to our trips – particularly on summer mornings.

About operator:

Connect with nature and experience Cape Town from a different perspective by joining us for a leisurely, fun and scenic paddle in the heart of Sea Point, set against the spectacular backdrop of Table Mountain and the Stadium! All trips are guided, and we are conservative about the conditions we kayak in. The trips are gentle in pace and no previous kayaking experience is necessary. The focus is on fun, enjoying the serene setting, and hopefully spotting some wildlife. We are often fortunate to see a variety of wildlife on our trips including seals, sun fish and even the occasional penguin! There is a chance of seeing dolphins & we are also lucky to see both Southern Right and Humpback whales from time to time, as they migrate along our coastline. We do 3-4 trips trips throughout the day (depending on the season). Morning trips a best for seeing wildlife, while our late afternoon trip offers the prospect of spectacular sunset views towards Clifton. Trips are approximately 2 hours long.
