Our driver will pick you up from your hotel lobby in the morning. Proceed for an overland transfer to Kawang Recreation Centre (KRC), it is about 40-50 minutes to reach from Kota Kinabalu City. Upon arrival, you will meet up with the jungle guide for the briefing on the safety, rules park and orientation.
After the briefing, you will start your trekking adventures in the Kawang Forest Reserve. Experience a relaxing guided jungle trekking while your jungle guide provides the explanation about the forest. Along the trekking, you may get the chance to see the waterfall, Belian trees, Bat Cave, various species of birds and other interesting plants.
By afternoon, you will reach the first checkpoint (RL 1), which is about 1500 feet above sea water level. Check out some of the interesting Borneo Wildlife that you can see there such as lantern bug, big squirrel, and birds. After taking a shortstop rest, proceed your trekking on the ridgeline.
You can have your packed lunch en-route. After lunch, descend back to KRC. Along the way back, be amazed at the more interesting plant that you can see. You might get to see various species of deer, eagle, the biggest tree in the forest, and more.
Upon arrival at KRC around 1 pm, our driver will bring you back to your hotel in Kota Kinabalu City and your trip end for the day.
