Nikiszowiec - the pearl of industrial architecture. Independent district found for coal miners in the begining of XXth century with characteristic buildings made of red brick which is a symbol of great industrial time of the region. The most important is that some people have never moved from there - It is now the most trendy,living part of the city with all necessary infrastructure.
We will walk around the area, have a coffee break in traditional "Byfyj Cafe" right in the middle of the place, next to the old style bakery where they sell fresh and traditional silesian bread. You will be able to try tasty pastries or have a breakfast in "Sląski" style.
2. Katowice city centre - After historical part It will be a time for a a ride around the vibrant heart of Slaskie (Silesian) district. Modernity mixed with old style of industiral world.
You will see
Spodek (mulitcomplex arena which looks like a UFO),
Superjednostka (one of the the biggest living block of flats in Poland found in the 60s of the XXth century),
modern square in the middle of the city.
