Kandy in a Day - Private Tour from Negombo

The hill capital Kandy was the last Sri Lankan kingdom and has the distinction of being captured only by the British. While the British influence is very much apparent in its architecture and town planning, the traditional Sri Lankan culture continues to remain in practice. Kandy is also home to Sri-Lanka’s most important Buddhist temple, the Dalada Maligawa or Temple of the Sacred Tooth relic of the Lord Buddha.

Light clothing suitable for tropical climate, a light bag to carry your belongings safely.
When visiting religious sites and shrines avoid wearing revealing clothing as this may result in entry being denied.
It is recommended that female visitors wear clothing that covers their shoulders and legs or carry a scarf or sarong that can be tied when necessary.
Male visitors should preferably be attired in long shorts or trousers paired with a sleeved shirt or t-shirt.
