Fantastic whale sightings and loved seeing Mendenhall glacier!
Wow! What an awesome experience! Our bus driver Fred was friendly and accommodating and made the travel experience great. He shared info about Juneau and made suggestions! Mendenhall Glaciers was beautiful. We went to the photo spot and to the visitor center. We also saw a bald eagle. Claire, Ash and Larry were fantastic for our whale watching experience. We were mostly on the side of the boat where Claire was and she made sure we saw the whales and told us their names and information about them. Larry made sure he drove the boat to the perfect spots! Ash would call out where to look to see the different whales. They were all top notch! We saw at least 6 different whales and spotted them over and over again. Lots of tails! Highly recommend.
Cruise excursion
Larry ash and Claire were our guides. Larry provided a lot of info on our drive and ash and Claire were great on the whale watching excursion. Most importantly they cared about the fact that we came on a cruise and made sure we got back in time!! I felt so at ease and Saw so many whales
Amazing Alaskan Whale Watching Experience
Far and away the best experience we had on our recent Alaskan cruise. Our whale watching team was incredible (Captain James, Griffin and Sophie). So knowledgeable and engaging…we were able to see not only Himback bubble feeding, but the extra added bonus of a pod of Orcas. Absolutely thrilling, made more so by the informative guides. Special shout out also to our driver Fred, who is quite the character. Highly highly recommended.
Humpbacks in Juneau
We only had clear visibility of the glacier for a few minutes because of rainy weather but we did get a clear view briefly. The whale watching was amazing! Monica, Krishelle and Claire were a fantastic crew. We saw several humpback whales and a couple even surfaced right next to the boat.
Absolutely Fabulous!
We had a wonderful tour with our awesome guide James. He had a great sense of fun & had the whole group laughing as well as having people so interested in so many aspects of the nature around us, from the moss on our hike to the glacier & including some interesting facts about the glaciers, right through to lots of fascinating facts about the ecosystems & how glaciers are suffering. Captain Devon was also fabulous he found, hump back whales (quite a few) Stella seals & to top our wonderful day Orcas at sunset. I couldn’t have been more thrilled with the day we had - thank you both & Sam, Beth & James mum Dianna.
