Your tour begins with pickup from central Reykjavik, where you board a climate-controlled vehicle and follow a scenic route towards Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon. With its enormous, ancient icebergs, the Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon is a natural wonder of Iceland and a sight you absolutely cannot miss. The lagoon produces a feeling of incredible tranquility as the 1000-1500 year old ice that has broken away from Vatnajökull glacier silently drifts into the lake and slowly melts away. The lagoon covers 18 square kilometres (7 square miles) and reaches more than 248 metres (814 ft) at its deepest point. As you take a walk along the shore, you may recognize the lagoon from scenes out of famous movies such as Batman Begins, Tomb Raider and two James Bond movies that were filmed here.
