After leaving Tel Aviv by air-conditioned vehicle, admire Old Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives and explore Mt. Zion, believed to be the location of Jesus’ Last Supper.
See Dormition Abbey, reputedly where the Virgin Mary died, and visit what’s thought to be the Tomb of King David, the Old Testament warrior king. Enter Old Jerusalem, wander through the Armenian and Jewish quarters, and pass the Byzantine Cardo and old Roman road to the Western Wall (Wailing Wall).
Follow part of the Christian Quarter’s Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, believed to be the site of Jesus’ crucifixion. Continue to Yad Vashem, Israel’s memorial to the Holocaust, in New Jerusalem. Alternatively, on Saturdays and Jewish holidays, go to Ein Karem, traditionally held to be John the Baptist’s birthplace, to see Mary’s spring and visit the Church of John the Baptist.
Your tour ends with a hotel drop-off.
