Italian Wine and Cheese Tasting in Rome

Your wine- and cheese-tasting experience takes place at Enoteca Cavour, a wine bar located near some of Rome’s top historic landmarks. Meet your guide, who introduces you to the wide variety of Italian meats, cheeses and wines.

Start with a white wine served with ricotta cheese, and then enjoy a red wine paired with porchetta (spicy pork stuffed with herbs) and Roman coppiette (beef jerky). Finish up with another white wine accompanied by pecorino Romano, a hard, salty cheese. As you eat and drink, listen to your guide’s explanation of the differences between these wine varietals and types of cheese and meats. You’ll leave with a new appreciation of regional Italian cuisine.
